Hey there! I’m Cara, the owner and operator of Good Luck Woodworks here in Lancaster, Ohio.
My journey into woodworking began in 2018. I had just quit school, moved back home with my parents and was feeling lost, confused and terrified about what to do next.
A friend of mine was in need of a coffee table and I was in need of a way to fill my time. I started messing around in my dad’s garage, coming dangerously close to losing fingers while teaching myself to use power tools.
That coffee table was an absolute monstrosity, but it sparked something inside me that had been waiting to come alive. It was a love story, me and that garage. I fell hard and I fell fast and I haven’t really looked back since.
I’ve got a space full of all my own tools now and i’m not calling my dad for help nearly as much (okay, maybe only like half as much) In a way I feel like i’m really just getting started. I’m happy to be here, and i’m happy you’re here too.

Absolutely! I am always accepting project proposals and would love to help bring your ideas to life. Shoot me an email with your ideas and we can set up a time to chat!
Where do you source your materials?
Sustainability and quality are a priority for me and my business. I source raw materials harvested in central and southern Ohio and try to use as much domestic hardwood as possible.
What is your usual lead time?
My usual lead time for made-to-order items from my website is 2-3 weeks. Custom furniture, cabinetry, etc. varies depending on the size of the project. For most projects, you can expect 6-8 weeks. This timeline begins after the design has been approved and the deposit has been received.
Where are your items made?
My items are made in my woodshop located in Lancaster, Ohio. All items are handcrafted start to finish by me.
Do you ship custom furniture?
Shipping is available for all items for sale on my website unless otherwise noted. For custom projects delivery and shipping vary depending on the project. I am located in southern Ohio.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
I do not accept returns or exchanges. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to me and if you have any issues with your item please contact me immediately and I will be sure to resolve any issue.
